I. Introduction

The Empire can only go so far in providing it's units with the necessary equipment. It can only afford to mass-produce items of below-average and average quality, meant to be used by conscripts fresh from the Albariums of Accretia. It is up to us, the dedicated specialist-crafters of the Empire, to address that problem.

Our purpose in the Empire is to create specialized equipment of much higher caliber than those manufactured in the Imperial foundries. We take from our surroundings what we can and mold it into the the deadliest of weapons, the sturdiest of armor, or the most destructive of bullets.

No, we are not created to give our lives to the Empire. That honor and glory is reserved for the ranks of soldiers. Instead, we are created to provide for these soldiers. That is an even harder task. Right now, I am saying that we specialists will not have it easy... Our path is the path of toil and sweat. There is no honor. There is no glory. There is no profit. There is no recognition. There is only the needs of the Empire that we answer to.

This datalink is to pass on what little knowledge i have accumulated to those fresh arrivals from Accretia who are destined to be the Empire's new foundries...

II. Uncommon Booties

»Sol Zid -For armor/ammunition crafting
»Haren -For all forms of armor
»Louis Mika -For armor/ammunition crafting
»Ply Blidend -For weapon crafting
»Cell Weef -For ammuntion crafting

◘The common booties (Mika, Riar, Zid etc.) are bought at the HQ sundries.
◘If possible, save up as many of each as you can, and distribute the unneeded booties to other specialists who need them.
◘These booties are used primarily for middle-grade armors/weapons. You will usually be training your weapon/armor PT on these components later on. Resist the urge to sell these to NPCs, because you will be needing a LOT. Trust me on that.

III. The Ups and Downs of Each Field of PT

Ammo Pt
Without a doubt, the easiest of all pt to train. You can pt-train indefinitely on this by crafting the basic magazine (which requires only 4 regular mika per craft. ) You would only need time and patience to eventually max this out.

Weapon Pt
Harder to pt-train at first, as crafting any type of weapon or shield will require processed ores. Eventually, it would be easier to pt-train than armor. The trick here is to mine Yellow Ore and craft shields. Comparing the requirements of shields to other weapons will show that shields require ridiculously low amounts of processed ores and booties.

Armor Pt
Deceptively easy to craft at first, all you'll need are masses of NPC bought booty. After a while, you will begin to hate training this pt. Eventually, you'll be needing processed ores and HORDES of uncommon booties to even craft just *one* piece of armor. My only suggestion here: mine black ores and stock up on as much sol zid, haren, and louis mika as you can, and craft boots. Why boots? They require the least amount of materials per attempt to craft.

◘Eventually, you will be needing the higher booties (High Zid, Mid Mika, Greaf etc.) to craft the lvl30+ armor and weapons. You could begin saving up all the booties you can, but IMHO, leave the hunting of harder booty to your customers. By the time you can craft 30+ armor (and not fail 99% of the time <.< ) you should be an engineer.
◘BTW, upgrading to an engineer gives massive bonuses to ALL your craft PT. Rather than raising your PT by a definite number of PT's, refining to an engineer will give a specific amount of experience to each craft-PT. The amount of craft-PT given is estimated to be 10-15 pt's per craft PT, as I didn't get the exact amount of PT-experience given... I have yet to know if refining to a Scientist will add PT-experience as well.
◘As much as possible, craft the item that requires the least amount of materials and still gives craft PT. Crafting the higher items has a higher fail rate and consumes much more resources...
